Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty

I saw a couple of weeks ago alaskayoungx.blogspot.com wrote a post named 'Seven deadly sins of beauty' - I haven't written anything in a while due to attempting to get my life back on track so I thought this post could fill the gap between writing something new, yet not interesting.
1. Greed: What is your most expensive beauty item?
Benefit They're Real mascara. I had a debate whether I should risk spending just under £20 on a premium brand of make-up because a lot of the time it tends to be just hype and I've instantly wasted money I could of spend on something else but with this it's probably one of my favourite beauty purchases. It's made me excited to try out even more Benefit products.

2. Wrath: What beauty item do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Benefit Boi-ing concealer is an obvious choice for me right now. It's so good yet due to my skin becoming very dry (thanks winter) it's hard to paste on and it frustrates me, even though I've exfoliated 100 layers of skin off, I still find it can be difficult to apply. Amazing product, once again!

3. Gluttony: What makeup brand is the biggest chunk of your makeup collection?

I don't really have a lot of one brand. I've mix and matched brands my whole 'make-up life' because no brand is going to be perfect in every area. I have two Benefit products, two No 7 products and the rest are all different. Not a massive chunk. (Sorry for saying Benefit so much in just three questions).

4. Sloth: What product do you neglect to use due to laziness?

Primer. I always forget about it and even when I see it I just think that I'm just doing my make-up for a day of nothing so I never can be bothered. I do aim to use it more though. Hopefully.

5. Pride: Which beauty product gives you the most confidence?

All of them? Hence why I use them. I'm not sure how I'd be without foundation, mascara and liquid eyeliner though, I put them on even when I don't plan on leaving the house. I look awful without them and just them three products alone cover up so much.

6. Lust: Which item is at the top of your beauty wish list?

Naked Palette 2 and Benefit Porefessional. I've heard unlimited good things about both of these products so I'm excited to buy them in the new year. I'm also after Real Techniques, MAC and Chanel make-up brushes. The ones I'm using currently are getting me through it but there's better.

7. Envy: What makeup product do you think looks great on others but not yourself?
Eyeshadows. I haven't got the brushes, decent eyeshadow (or technique) to apply it nicely. I always look like a drag queen, and not one that looks fab. I also don't think I suit bright and dark lipsticks. My lips aren't as big as I'd appreciate so that effects me.

Creature's of the bath.

In celebration to myself on getting a new job, I treated myself to a couple of bath ballistics from Lush. Everything's so much more exciting now that they have the Halloween and Christmas range in. After at least 20 minutes of debating I settled for 'Lord of the Misrule' and 'Bombardino'. These are my thoughts on the two...

Lord of the Misrule
Now a new favourite of mine, this is named after the 'ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools' and although it has the least appetising scents of black pepper and patchouli oil it really does smell so good! Starting off as green, once it starts to dissolve in your bath you notice the pink colouring coming out of the centre of the bomb. eventually after turning a muddy water colour you end up with a bath which looks like red wine! As good as it looks, I wouldn't try to drink it. It was £3.30 definitely well spent and I would go there again.

Bombardino

This is a bath bomb I wouldn't normally of gone for because of how small it is but it has a scent of cocoa butter which I love and couldn't resist and priced at £2.50 who could blame me. It also looks super cute too. The only thing that was disappointing about this little fella was the fact that the scent was barely noticeable unlike other bath ballistics from Lush. I guess it's ideal though if you feel the scents are sometimes too over powering. On the plus side, the tiny eyes were like melting chocolate and it left a subtle tint of shimmer on my skin and what girl doesn't appreciate that?

None of the images shown are my own and all belong to Lush Cosmetics.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for Autograph

I don't know about anyone else, but there's something about nice underwear and nightwear which makes you have a nicer day and feel so much better about yourself. Personal favourites of mine always tend to be lace, silk and/or vintage style which seems to be the favourite kind of styles in 2013. One shop I'd never thought I'd be checking out is Marks and Spencer's because in my opinion, Marks and Spencer's isn't my style in clothes and I've often seen it for older women, this was until browsing through Instagram and coming across 'Rosie for Autograph' lingerie and fell in love with the majority of the lingerie/nightwear. It's not the cheapest price but the look of it alone is worth the money and I'm sure the quality will match up equally.
This was Rosie's first collection with Autograph and they're equally as stunning as the lady herself. There are more on the website but these are my personal favourites.

Unluckily for me, by the time I found this beautiful collection, most of it has sold out/no longer in my size and I'm not sure if they're going to stock up on this collection but her Instagram gave us an insight on her A/W13 collection which looks beautiful, again, the autumn/winter collection seem to consist of more supportive soft cups but she's also previewed padded cupped bras. I don't know the date of the release but I'm sure I'll be checking every few weeks to make sure I get something!

Lipstick Sucker.

I am an absolute sucker for lipstick and I'm the kind of person who feels as though you can never have too many shades of one colour.
I was in Superdrug looking at buying new lipstick when I came across Maybelline Colour Sensation Vivids lipstick which come in 5 shades;

902 - Fushia Flash
906 - Hot Plum
910 - Shocking Coral
912 - Electric Orange
916 - Neon Red

They're the most wonderful colours and very eye-catching and after much debating with myself, I decided to settle with Shocking Coral and Neon Red for now (because at £7 for two you can't just have one). My personal favourite out of the two is Shocking Coral. It's such a good colour which can brighten up most looks, which is handy because I wear black 95% of the time.
(Unfortunately I didn't get an image of Neon Red in all it's newbie glory.)

Every time I have worn these they have never disappointed me. It's a creamy lipstick which leaves your lips well moisturised  The colour always tends to stay amazing and they are long lasting, unlike some brands I have tried. I also find that I don't need to go to the toilet to reapply every hour or so on a night out, even with drinks. The only issue is that if like me, you apply some before the taxi home and then shamefully sleep with your make-up on because you're incapable  and too tired to take it off before hand, then you will wake up with lipstick stained lips, and it's not the best of looks but it does come off with a scrub, but I guess this just shows how well the wear is. This lipstick is a definite recommendation to everyone.
